"Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of society"
-Maria Montessori
I full believe in the old adage "our children are our future" and since education and exposure begins in early childhood having a positive experience is really the key to fulfilling a child's passion for learning and education and making them want to better themselves. If we want to become old in a thriving and successful, kind world then we need to foster the next generations mindset in positive ways, encouraging them to believe in themselves and go for their dreams.
I entered the early childhood education field because I truly have a passion watching children learn and grow through creativity and play. I believe in structure within an environment where children are free to run, play and explore and are encouraged to learn about the world in their own time at their own pace. I don't believe that every child is the same, each one is unique and different and brings their own fun energy to the group. I like to watch the different ways they think and come up with ideas that are sometimes outside of the box. Children should always be encouraged to try and always be told that "there are no mistakes, only lessons."
Some days can truly be stressful when you are in the education field, but when a parent tells you how much you mean to their family and how you've touched their child's life it makes it all worth it. There was a boy recently that I wasn't sure I was connecting with and I was afraid he was getting a positive educational experience and one day he hands me a drawing that he did and tells me "I'm the very best." Children are always watching and listening even when you think they aren't and it's always best to remain positive and hopeful.
