"Words of Inspiration and Motivation"

T. Berry Brazelton is a most fascinating man, a true leader and pioneer in the field of pediatrics, health and well-being; he just celebrated his 99th birthday on May 10 and for decades now has made it his lifes' mission for parents, educators and the world to understand the need for a healthy parent-child relationship. Two of his quotes that I like best are as follows: "Every time you give a parent a sense of success or of empowerment, you're offering it to the baby indirectly. Because every time a parent looks at that baby and says 'Oh, you're so wonderful,' that baby just burst with feeling good about themselves." T. Berry Brazelton M.D. "You learn more from your mistakes than you do your successes" T. Berry Brazelton M.D. Marcy Whitbook is a pioneer in the child care field, she recognized a long time ago that there is a need for truly quality child care and a much needed change in how we run our child care centers and treat our employ...
Personal Childhood Web 5 Influential People: 1. My dad: My dad influenced me by always being so relaxed, he never took life too seriously. When my dad and I were together it was just the two of us and we never spent a lot of time watching TV although we would always go to the movies together, we mainly spent a lot of time outdoors adventuring around. His influence is still with me today and I hope that my children have the same fond memories of me as a parent that I have of him. He always took the time to listen and was so patient with me, he let me roam around and explore and figure things out on my own, yet he was always protective and always a provider. 2. My Grandma Connie: My GMA Connie (as she is known to my friends) is everything you think of when you think of the word "Grandma" warm, compassionate, kind and nurturing. She was always there for each of her 14 grand children and 8 great grandchildren. She would always listen to us and if you were our friends you we...

"Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of society"                                                                                     -Maria Montessori I full believe in the old adage "our children are our future" and since education and exposure begins in early childhood having a positive experience is really the key to fulfilling a child's passion for learning and education and making them want to better themselves. If we want to become old in a thriving and successful, kind world then we need to foster the next generations mindset in positive ways, encouraging them to believe in themselves and go for their dreams. I entered the early childhood education field because I truly have a passion watching children learn and grow through creativity and play. I b...
